Gauge for bi-pin cap G5.3 on finished lamps 7006-73-1
Purpose:
To check the cap G5.3 shown on sheet 7004-73 in the following respects:
-the combined displacement and diameter of the pins (dimensions D and E) with respect to the
maximum horizontal section (dimensions A max. and B max.) of the cap;
-the minimum height of the shell (dimension C min.);
-the diameter of the individual pins (dimension E);
-the length of the pins (dimension F).
Testing:
-It shall be possible to insert the cap into the gauge with the pins entering at surface Z until
the supporting feet of the shell are in contact with surface Z.
In this position, the ends of the pins shall be co-planar with or project beyond surface X but shall
not project beyond surface W.
In additon, the top edge of the shell shall be co-planar with or project beyond surface Y.
-In carrying out this check the force used shall not exceed 5N.
-It shall be possible to insert the individual pins of the cap into the hole e2 until the level of the
supporting feet is coincident with surface W.
-It shall not be possible to insert the individual pins into hole e1.

Application:
